Contraindications

  • Sensitive to any of the active ingredients found in Flagystatin.
  • Should not be used concurrently with oral metronidazole in subjects with active neurological problems or a past record of blood dyscrasia, hypoadrenalism or hypothyroidism except in the judgment of the doctor the benefits overshadows the potential danger to the subject.

 

Special Precautions

 

Adminstration in pregnancy: It is not recommended to administer Flagystatin for the duration of the 1st half of pregnancy and particular concern with the application of the applicator is suggested in late pregnancy. It must not be applied beyond the 6th mnth of pregnancy.

Flagystatin side effects

 

Occasional and insignificant Flagystatin side effects observed to date consist of vaginal inflammation and granular feeling, queasiness and vomiting, bitter taste, previously identified to happen with metronidazole was used concurrently with Flagystatin local therapy.
